Attacking: Partisans.
The Ivan Cankar and Matija Gubec brigades, the 2nd and 3rd battalion of the Croatian strike brigade, reinforced with the 13th Proletarian heavy machine gun brigade manage to surround and attack a convoy of three Italian battalions.
Historical background:
January 29th 1943
The fighting lasted for three days until Italian tanks of the Lombardia division arrived to aid the surrounded units. The Italians were then able to escape from the Partisan encirclement in the dark of night. The enemy suffered 98 casualties and had 160 wounded, lost 70 mules and all of their equipment. There were 2500 –3000 soldiers on the Italian side and about 2000 –2200 Partisans.
