Hold the position! 

200 members of the Cankar battalion defy 2500 German soldiers in a three-day battle in high snow and severe cold (up to -25 ºC). They persist and evacuate the unit under cover of night.
9 fighters die in battle, 11 are wounded. The German casualties are 200 dead and 400 wounded. The village was then captured and burned. 41 villagers were killed, 81 were deported to camps.
