The Partisans attack first.
May 8th 1945
The Supreme Partisan HQs sends a group of officers tasked to organize the city defense. The 3rd and the 5th Battalion 3rd Brigade of the National Guard arrive to the city on the same day. The last German army units have left the city in the early morning of 9th May, still shooting during their retreat.
