The Partisans attack first.
Set up an ambush on the Reka-Trst road between Kozina and Krvavi Potok as a fighter of the Istrski Partisan Detachment.
26th May 1944
SS Major Christian Wirth, one of the organizers of the Nazi extermination camps Chelmno, Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec and the Rižarna in Trst, was killed in the attack. In Rižarna, five thousand people were killed while in other mentioned camps around two million people perished.
