Man the previously prepared positions around Čreta under the command of Commander Franc Rozman – Stane and repel the German units’ attack.
This battle shows the extraordinary courage of the fighters of the 1st Styrian Battalion and their commander Franc Rozman – Stane. They inflicted significant losses on the occupier in an unequal battle and then successfully escaped without losses during the night despite more than 10 continuous German attacks.
This first frontal battle echoed across the occupied Europe as it was discussed by the General Staff of the Wehrmacht and even Hitler himself.
